Our Spaghetti Dinner was a smashing success! Thank you to all who donated items, volunteered their time before, during and after the dinner and of course all of the faithful patrons who came to the dinner and expressed their appreciation for the library. Countless hours went into cooking, preparing, setting up, and serving and we couldn't have had such a successful effort without all the help we had. A special thank you to St. Peter's Church and the crew of volunteers from the Church, Library Board and young people from the community who shared the day with us.

Library Holiday Fun!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Holiday party. We had a great time! We would like to send an extra-special Thank You to Gene Kutzler, for his demonstration of the bagpipe and a mini-concert of Bagpipe "Top 40" and holiday hits! Mr. Kutzler is a Pipe Major with Celtic United Pipes & Drums and has been playing the bagpipe for 15 years. Our near-capacity crowd was awed by his skill AND his skirt!
The crowd sipped hot chocolate and munched cookies while the kids made holiday ornaments.

We would like to extend an extra special thank you to Almut Menkens for the absolutely wonderful "International Night" presentation about Germany that she held at our library. She was a wonderful speaker and her delicious German cooking was a big hit! Thanks so much and bitte kommen Sie wieder!
Congratulations to all of our Summer Reading Program winners!
The kids in the Summer Reading Program smashed their goal of 400 books. The total came in at a whopping 1,172!!
In appreciation, we sponsored 2 flocks of chicks which will go to help impoverished families around the world to improve their standard of living. To celebrate, we had an amazing party complete with games, fun and pizza from CiCi's, chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A, and cinnamon buns from Cinnabon. It was the best party ever!
Thanks to everyone, especially our amazing crew of "Volunteens" who worked so hard this summer, to make this year's program so successful! We are very grateful to a handful of local businesses which donated goods and services to our
Summer Reading Program. Whether it be gift certificates an items for incentive prizes, pool passes, show tickets, or food items for the end of program party, their generosity is very much appreciated! A complete list is posted on our "Thank you" page.
